I do like Mondays 🤣

I like helping people whilst at the same making a few quid for myself hence my trading name. Yesterday I was asked by one of my customers to collect a new black washing machine and take her old white one away, it was in good working order and I had seen it working myself a couple of days earlier.

The old washing was too good to scrap so I took the opportunity of listing it on social media for £30 including free delivery. Within an hour another one of my regulars messaged me having seen the post asking if it was still available as they were in temporary housing whilst their home was being repaired and they had been without a washing machine for two weeks spending a fortune at the launderette.

I delivered the washer to their home this morning, checked that all the pipes were available and was asked if I could connect it for an extra £10.

Interestingly enough when I went to connect the drain pipe under the sink I found the connection to the sink drain was deliberately blocked with tissue, this could have been tragic as the customer was disabled and wouldn’t have been able to assess that there was a physical blockage. Consequently the machine was correctly installed and checked to ensure it was working as expected.

The same customer needs a fridge freezer and as it happens I know where one of those is going soon. So unlike Bob Geldof, I like Mondays. 🤣
