A few days ago I had to scrap my much loved Range Rover, I knew it was in need of some serious help but when a mechanic explained to me how dangerous it was particularly to surrounding drivers I had no option but to wave it on it’s journey to it’s final destination.

My diary is full so it’s quite inconvenient to have transport problems even temporarily and I must be fair all my customers are understanding and flexible.

I had a driveway booked in to jetwash, I didn’t want to let my customer down and when I was thinking of how to attempt this challenge without transport immediately remembered a builder I used to work with when I was so much younger.

When I was a teenager around school leaving age I used to work for a man called Brendan, yes you guessed it, one year he was banned from driving and that summer I remember he was constantly getting lifts and loading all his necessary equipment into friends’ cars early in the mornings, and at that time, his jet wash equipment, and believe me, then it was a lot larger and heavier than the alternatives today.

Consequently, when my customer contacted me, I confirmed the appointment confident that I had already decided how to get there, only on this occasion it was with the aid of Alpha Taxis, I already had the app on my phone, in reality, I could have caught a bus, now I am better organised, if needed, a bus it is.

Coincidently, whilst I have been thinking of the many life skills I learned whilst working for different trade professionals when I was a lot younger I was asked if I would give someone’s nephew at start, well atleast a trial. The uncle who is in the building trade himself again wanted his nephew to pick up some of these invaluable life skills.

So if everything goes according to plan I will have a new member on the team from next week. I will have to warn my customers to get more biccies in.

When I arrived at this house and saw the bunting thought originally it was for someone’s birthday then as the day went on, the penny dropped, especially with the Liverpool FC flags on neighbouring houses, it’s located on the route of the parade next Bank Holiday Monday!

This is probably the largest block paved area I have done so far, I asked the customer the approximate size afterwards and apparently it is about ninety square metres.

Can you see the plate on the right hand side? This morning I was greeted with a couple of cups of coffee and a sausage sandwich, yesterday, when on the first day, I had numerous cups of coffee, a wrap, bags of crisps and a can of coke. It must be a Liverpool thing, I am from London and can’t remember be looked after that well down south, all my customers look after me.

This summer due to popular requests I have been offering a more all round service including rubbish removal, gardening and jet washing, please get in touch if you need my help on 07873 565498!
