Kitchen Capers!

I do not promote myself as a kitchen fitter, that is not my main line of work and I usually leave those projects for the skilled men and woman that undertake to fit kitchens full time however last year I was asked to help rescue three different kitchens where things had not gone according to plan and as we learn from experience things seldom do.

Initially I was asked to rip out the orginal kitchen and take it away, in the process I arranged a gas fitter to disconnect the gas hob. I was aware on assessment that the customer may experience a few challenges with the planned fitting kitchen and offered to be around to lend assistance should if needed.

The customer had got so far but then ran into difficulty, particularly with mounting the wall units and fitting the work surfaces so I was asked to lend a hand.

I had also agreed to do the tiling although I haven’t tiled for some years, then as opportunity arises I made friends with an excellent tiler which now helps me when needed so I sent him round instead.

Then to finish the project of I sent another friend of mine round to decorate the kitchen and also the hallway at the same time, I would have done that myself but I was busy on other jobs at the time.

Unfortunately I haven’t got the final photos as yet although I will update the post as and when I do!
